The Rürup pension — officially the Basisrente — is a state-recognised private retirement contract designed primarily for the self-employed who do not have access to a company pension, and for high earners who want the largest possible tax deduction on their contributions.

The Riester pension is a state-subsidised private retirement scheme in Germany. The government contributes annual allowances and tax benefits directly into your contract. It remains particularly attractive for families with children. However, a major reform has been approved, and the Riester system is expected to be replaced by a new model from 2027. Existing contracts remain valid and protected.

Private pension insurance has no state conditions — you choose the contribution, duration, and investment approach entirely. It fills the gap once Rürup and Riester limits are exhausted, or for anyone who simply values flexibility over subsidies.

Term life insurance provides one thing and one thing only: a large tax-free payment to your family if you die within the agreed term. There is no savings component and no payout if you survive — which is exactly why the premiums are remarkably low.

Capital life insurance combines a guaranteed savings plan with permanent life cover. Your premiums build a cash value every month, and the full insured sum is paid on death or policy maturity — whichever comes first.

Accident insurance pays a lump sum if an accident leaves you permanently disabled — partially or fully. It covers you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, worldwide, regardless of whether the accident happens at work, at home or on holiday.
