1. Scope of Application

These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Spectrum International, including insurance brokerage, consultation services, and website usage. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Services Provided

Spectrum International operates as an independent insurance broker authorized under §34d Abs 1 GewO. We provide professional advice and brokerage services for various types of insurance including health, property, liability, pension, and business insurance. Our services include needs analysis, product comparison, application processing, and ongoing customer support.

3. Role as Insurance Broker

As an independent insurance broker, we represent the interests of our clients, not insurance companies. We are obligated to provide objective advice based on sufficient market analysis. Our recommendations consider your individual circumstances, needs, and preferences. We receive commission from insurance companies for successfully brokered contracts, which does not result in additional costs for you.

4. Client Obligations

Clients must provide accurate and complete information about their circumstances, needs, and existing insurance coverage. Any material changes to your situation must be communicated promptly. You are responsible for reviewing all policy documents and asking questions about anything unclear before accepting a policy.

5. Liability

We maintain professional indemnity insurance as required by law. Our liability is limited to cases of intent or gross negligence. We are not liable for the financial stability or performance of insurance companies we recommend. Claims must be reported in writing within reasonable time of discovery.

6. Data Protection and Confidentiality

We process your personal data in accordance with GDPR and German data protection laws. Details are available in our Privacy Policy. All information you provide is treated confidentially and used only for the purpose of providing our services. We may share necessary information with insurance companies for quotation and application purposes.

7. Fees and Commission

Our basic consultation services are provided free of charge to private clients. We receive commission from insurance companies for successfully brokered policies. Upon request, we can provide transparent information about the commission structure. For specialized services or commercial clients, separate fee arrangements may apply.

8. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate the brokerage relationship at any time with written notice. Termination does not affect existing insurance contracts, which continue according to their terms. You may transfer to another broker or manage policies directly with insurers. We will provide necessary documentation to facilitate any transfer.

9. Complaints Procedure

If you have any complaints about our services, please contact us in writing. We will acknowledge receipt within 3 business days and provide a full response within 4 weeks. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact our supervisory authority, IHK Aachen, or use the insurance ombudsman service.

10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by German law. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Aachen, Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via email or website notice at least 4 weeks in advance. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
